There was once a time when all who roamed this earth could call themselves free. Twelve kingdoms, dispersed about the northern hemisphere, coexisted in a relative harmony that one could only dream about in his day and age. Among them, a spirit of unity emerged, binding them closer, bringing untold wealth and prosperity to each of their regents. But a darkness was growing. Unbeknown to them, the emperor of the third kingdom, the Balmung, mightiest of warriors, had been brutally slayed by one of his prophets. This wolf, in the darkness and gloom of his cave, waited.
He came upon powers long forgotten, buried by their creators in an attempt to seal away their evil. But such eldritch knowledge was pleasing to the dark one's ears, and he summoned the powers and used them to silently corrupt the wolven of the Balmung. Before he revealed himself, the others believed that their beloved emperor still lived. Surely the fact that his prophets and scribes conveyed his blessing upon them meant so. But the day he came forth from the shadows, a terrible upwelling within the earth belched out ash and brimstone, and set their land ablaze. As a paw came from the smoke, a demonic face was presented to them. The massive black wolf stood before them in the ruin of their forest, and bowed his head silently to the flames.
"God most high, creator of fire, I give my thanks, for thou hast made me, thy prophet. With your mighty power, I shall spread fire to the twelve kingdoms! Never again will a whisper of peace be uttered! Never more will the heavens rejoice! For in the chaos of fire, your truth lay! Hail the fire, for I am Orchi!"
And the wolven who looked on at this fearless portent were amazed at the sight, for he stepped into the flames, and the fire consumed him not.
"Wolven of Balmung, heed my calling! The twelve kingdoms have sinned against our god! Let us bring our wrath to their dens, and let not one soul survive! The twelve kingdoms will be reduced to flames, and but one shall survive! The world is ours for the taking! Grant me your paws, your talons, your fangs, and I will grant you immortality!"
And the wolven rejoiced on this revelation. Soon, in the glow of the flames, a vast army was gathered. The entire clan of the Balmung prepared for war. Every pup, every mother, every soul, was ready to sacrifice their lives for their prophet. And as they marched to the border of the seventh kingdom, the halls of the Amarok tribe rang with their cries...
"Hail Orchi!"
These were the words of Ainu, chief scribe to the twelfth kingdom, the Sidh'e pack. It is believed that the ascension of Orchi dates to more than 1,500 years ago...
